Try These Habits To Reduce Migraines


Everyone knows migraines are not just a “bad headache”. It can be as worse as being hit by a truck. Patients having migraines have suggested that when they are having a spell of migraine they often feel disabled from thinking clearly and functioning. Although migraines cannot be treated by anything else other than strong medications, you can develop a few lifestyle changes that may reduce the chances of having one. Here are a few suggestions:

Experts think that hunger can contribute to developing a spell of migraine. With an empty stomach, the person feels less energy to even deal with the effects. So try to eat more often in short meals and do not let yourself go hungry especially when you start feeling a tinge of headache. Carry snacks with you wherever you go. A handful of nuts, almonds and fruits helps keep the stomach full.

Nothing is better for the body than water. Water keeps all the organs of the body function to their full potential. Think of it as fuel to your body. So do not let yourself go thirsty. Keep a water bottle by your side at all times and take small sips of water throughout the day even if you have to go to the bathroom more often.
